DOWNEY See Virginia Knutson notice, Chicago Tribune, Wednesday, July 15, 1981 Section 4 15 3 young boys found suffocated inside Waukesha linen closet By Joye Brown THE BODIES of three young boys who apparently suffocated were discovered Tuesday behind the jammed door of a refrigerator-sized linen closet in Waukesha, Wis. Police said there was no evidence of foul play, and a spokesman for the Waukesha County coroner's office said the deaths had been caused by "accidental suffocation." Two of the bodies were found on the closet floor and the third on a shelf. There was blood in the closet from injuries police said the boys apparently suffered while trying to force their way out.

The jammed door had no doorknob, police said. Authorities would not release the Poet Isabella names of the victims but said they believed they were three boys aged 4, 7, and 11 who had been reported missing by their parents Monday night. The bodies were discovered in the closet an empty apartment in a building where one of the missing boys lived. "WE ARE SURE they are the ones we are looking for," said Lt. Robert K.

Horstmeier of the Waukesha Police Department, "but the parents have not been down to identify them yet. "The parents, understandably, are very upset. One of the mothers had to be taken to a hospital." Horstmeier said police had received three separate reports on the boys Monday afternoon and evening.
